Maiko Hattori, L.Ac is a highly skilled NYS licensed acupuncturist whose practice is rooted in a commitment to addressing both immediate discomfort and the underlying causes of her patients' issues. With a comprehensive approach to treatment, she integrates Topicals, Auricular, Tui Na, Gua Sha, Cupping, E-stim, and other manual therapies, offering a well-rounded therapeutic experience.

Maiko has a special interest in treating pelvic pain, orthopedics, pain management, gastrointestinal issues, vertigo, psychiatric conditions, and PMS + GYN. Her dedication to these areas is reflected in her diverse training and professional background. She completed rigorous internships at notable institutions such as the VA Hospital Pain Management Clinic, NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases’ Initiative for Women with Disabilities, Columbia University Student Health Center’s Athletic Program, and NYU Lutheran Stroke Rehab, where she gained invaluable experience in managing complex cases.

After her formal education, Maiko worked alongside an acupuncturist specializing in pelvic and back pain, further honing her expertise in these challenging areas. Her approach is patient-centered, focusing on personalized care plans that aim to provide lasting relief and improve overall well-being.

Outside of her professional life, Maiko leads an active lifestyle. She enjoys hiking with her chocolate lab, Ella, and takes every opportunity to go kayaking. Maiko’s love for cooking and baking complements her holistic approach to health, as she believes in the power of nutrition and a balanced lifestyle in supporting overall wellness.
